recently presented at the Snowvision Down Under Conference in Queenstown. Varny
was awarded a Snowvision Trust Scholarship spending a month working at the State
University of New York College of Optometry. This is a highly regarded training
facility and is known for its diverse specialist clinics. Situated just two
blocks from Time Square the clinic services a melting pot of communities and
cultures that call New York City home. Varny's presentation gave an insight into
some of the rare ocular conditions managed at this specialist facility including
cases of Retinitis pigmentosa, Juvenile X-linked retinoschisis, Achromatopsia
and LENZ microphthalmia syndrome.
